Wheels Day at Ohau

It's the last day of term and we have an animal themed wheels day. Here is a couple of students from Room 1 enjoying their 'wheels'!

My Gorilla Picture

This is my Gorilla that I sketched. I sketched it so I can put it up on the wall and show it off to my friends and family. It was hard to sketch. I did it in 2013 and my mum was going to put it on a t-shirt but she framed it instead and gave it to me for Christmas. I am 10 and my name is Luke.

Makahika Camp Tramp

Makahika Camp Tramp

At school camp we went on a tramp on the Thursday. We had to walk up hills, along hills, down hills and over lakes.  It was really FUN.

But my favourite bit was when we walked down hills because we got to slide down some steep bits of the mountains.

When we got down to the bottom of the hill we got to made fires and roast marshmallow’s and they were DELICIOUS. Then we walked a different way back to the lodge.

When we got close to the lodge we went into another bit of the bush and we had cookies and made a shelter.  We walked down a track to a river.  We went in groups and walked across and I dived into the river. 

When I got back to the lodge I laid down for some rest. O verall it was SUPER DUPER FUN!!!!!!!!

Blossom

This is Blossom.  She is my pet lamb born 16th September 2014.  She is my pet lamb for Ag Day on November 15th 2014.  I will be feeding her with a bottle 4 times a day.  I will need to wash and brush her.  She will need to learn to walk on a lead and come when called.  It will be a busy few weeks coming up.  I did it last year with my pet kid Snowball.  By Lotti

Camp Makahika 2014

Our class has just returned from a fantastic camp at Makahika last week.  We challenged ourselves to try everything and step outside our comfort zones.  All students were challenged and succeeded.  We arrived back at school on Friday tired but exhilarated from overcoming fears and challenges.
